What is LocalGov Drupal?
LocalGov Drupal is the publishing platform for local government – created by councils (and their suppliers) for councils. It's specifically designed to meet the needs of local councils and their service users.
Over 40 councils are already using the platform, with many more due to go live over the coming months.
The co-operatively run project aims to deliver a better digital experience for citizens, improve service outcomes, and save money for councils.
LocalGov Drupal was developed to empower local governments to build and maintain websites efficiently and effectively.
It is built and maintained by a community of developers, content designers and digital leaders from local councils across the UK, including ourselves.

Technical lead for LocalGov Drupal platform build
We have been a leading technical partner for LocalGov Drupal since 2020, overseeing the technical development of the platform and governance through Discovery, Alpha, and Beta phases.
This included managing two sets of 10 sprints focused on refactoring code and improving the product's core features alongside multiple stakeholders, including several council digital teams.

Lead developers for Microsites
We led the microsite distribution's research, design, development and user testing. We worked alongside council representatives who helped us define their user needs and guide us towards creating the most valuable product for them.
